What does SingleFile do?
We are a software-as-a-service platform that makes it easy to form new entities and make various filings with the state Secretaries of State. We also serve as your entity’s registered agent in those states where you are organized or qualified to do business. 

Who can use SingleFile? 
SingleFile is available for any company, advisory firm, or associated organization that has a need for compliance filings.

Do I have to download anything to use SingleFile? 
SingleFile is a software-as-a-service and runs on the user’s web browser. Other than standard browser plug-ins, no downloads are required. SingleFile runs on a web browser. 

Why did I receive an invoice from SingleFile?
Your law firm likely used SingleFile to file certain documents with the Secretary of State’s office and named SingleFile as your company’s registered agent. The documents filed could relate to the formation of your company or registration to do business in a new state. We sent you an invoice for fees related to filing and registered agent service.

What is a registered agent?
A registered agent is an individual or company that has been designated to act as official representative in a particular state to receive service of process, governmental legal notices and correspondence on behalf of your company. Every state requires a registered agent for every entity formed or qualified to do business in the state.  

What is a statutory agent or agent for service of process?
It’s another term used for registered agent. Some states call registered agents, statutory agents or agent for service of process.

What are SF’s hours?
